- No smoking
- No naked flames
- Please treat the ‘old lady’ with respect, she is more than a little over 21 and does creek and groan a bit, if badly ‘upset’ things might even fall off... 😉
- Use the extractor fans if kitchen and bathroom get steamy
- No pets…we have enough of our own, they will even make themselves known when you least expect it
- No parties….the upper floors might collapse!
- Not suitable for children
- No unregistered guests please – we expect the person booking to be the person arriving unless previously agreed
- The wooden oak floor in the lounge is polished – so please be careful – it is an old floor and will mark/stain - also no high heels/stilettos they will damage the wood
- No dirty clothing/workwear/shoes/boots on furniture/beds
- Please do not eat or drink in the bedrooms (the reason for this is that the walls are mainly covered in traditional clay paints which absorb the smells)
- Please respect the check-in and check-out times
- Please use the coasters on the polished and natural wood surfaces - Please take care of the keys – lost keys incur a replacement fee
- Please take care of the furnishings
- Please don’t rearrange the furniture between rooms
- No illegal substances allowed on the premises
- No solvents or flammable substances….hardly believe we have to state this…
- Don't eat drippy/runny food in the lounge – we supply trays to eat off – they are in the kitchen cupboards
- There are rubbish bins around the house: the toilet is not one of them
- Please try to help us recycle – cans, paper, glass, plastic all can go in the bins – we’ve included a Recycling Guide, see the guest manual
- BROKEN GLASS - please do not just leave about....it is truly bloody annoying when one slashes open a hand on a shard of glass one was not expecting or warned about!
- Food waste into the food waste bin which is for composting
- Do not throw uneaten food outside or into the flower beds
- Do not throw cigarette butts into the flower beds or around the courtyard
- Please no charging of large – bike/e-scooter lithium-ion battery packs inside the house – there appears to be an increasing safety issue with these bursting into flames
